Connective launches unmatched L&D program to drive growth for brokers in 2021

In 2021 brokers are demanding new tools, technology, and education to help them embrace opportunities and meet challenges that we continue to see this year.

To meet these needs, Connective, Australia’s largest aggregator, has reinvented the broker education experience by adapting and expanding its multi-award winning learning and development (L&D) program this year with the greatest number and variety of education opportunities ever offered to brokers.

Along with more than 140 digital events, Connective’s new 2021 L&D program will also offer a return to flagship face-to-face events, including popular events such as the Commercial and Asset Finance Conference and the National Residential Conference.

The content, technology platforms, and format of the program has been designed for a volatile, remote working environment and changing regulatory landscape. It has also been designed to continue to safeguard the essential lender-broker relationship and deepen client relationships.

“2021 is ripe with opportunity for brokers, our job as their aggregator is to provide the support, education, tools and insights to help them realise the opportunities. Our L&D offering is recognised as one of the best, having won the MFAA 2020 Professional Development Award last year, and this year we want to go beyond anything we’ve offered before and we can’t wait for our brokers to experience it,” said Connective Managing Director, Mark Haron.

“Based on the resilience our brokers demonstrated in 2020, we’re confident they will continue to experience healthy growth in 2021. Brokers will need the right support and technology to deepen their client relationships and navigate complex situations with lenders, they will need agility and an advocate in their corner to manage a new regulatory landscape, and they will need control over where, when and how they access education, tools and insights.

“This was demonstrated by a 400 per cent increase in attendance at our digital events last year, with an average rating from brokers of 4.5 out of 5. We had excellent feedback from these sessions, but there was still room to build an even more diverse program for 2021 that better aligns with the new scale and format of our events, particularly with the potential of more face-to-face events and conferences this year,” said Haron.

Other upcoming key digital events, tailored to broker feedback, include;

  • For the second year an industry first, five-module virtual program developed in partnership with the Melbourne Business School
  • The Empower series, designed to motivate and inspire brokers, and provide them with resources to educate their female clients through life’s challenges and setbacks
  • The Digital Lender Splendour, a week of real-time updates, news, resources from many of Australia’s lenders,

All programs are offered to brokers in a broad variety of formats, including;

  • a resource portal containing the latest lender information for brokers
  • live and on-demand content available anytime, anywhere
  • a return to traditional conference formats, including large and small face to face events
  • bite sized content and in-depth workshops tailored to broker businesses
  • interactive formats to ensure engagement and embed knowledge

“The power of our technology and our agility has allowed us to provide pragmatic solutions to our brokers since the early stages of the pandemic. Now we also have a strong understanding of the demand for our content with skyrocketing attendance to our education events in 2020, which has helped us create a flexible, contextual, and well-rounded learning program for our brokers.

“We look forward to this year, after witnessing how our brokers rose to the challenge of 2020 and were galvanized to support their customers who were faced with an incredibly hard year, we are inspired to continue to stand-by our brokers to help them rise to the next challenge and succeed,” Haron concluded.
