At Connective, we believe in what we do.

Brothers Murray and Glenn Lees were mortgage brokers themselves. Fed up with the huge commission fees their old-style aggregator was charging, they set out on their own to establish an aggregation model that mortgage brokers would see the value in joining.

Now recognised as the fast growing aggregator in the industry, Connective has grown from strength to strength over the past eight years. The team at Connective are passionate about their work and believe in assisting our brokers to improve their bottom line.

Glenn Lees

Glenn LeesGlenn holds both a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Laws Degree and has worked extensively with Information Technology in the legal industry. In addition Glenn has practiced as a solicitor in Intellectual Property and Commercial law.

With experience working as a mortgage broker and with a history of building interactive data systems, Glenn started Connective 2003.

“I was firmly of the belief that we could make life better for brokers and treat them as equal partners in the relationship”, Glenn says. “It was always about improving on the model, thinking differently and building a set of tools that brokers could really use.”

Murray Lees

Murray has over 25 years of experience in the finance and financial services sector.

Prior to starting Connective in 2003 he built a highly successful mortgage broking business from the ground up. Murray has an intimate understanding of the challenges and rewards of the mortgage broking industry.

He has a passion for sales and sales management and knows exactly what it takes for broking businesses to provide exceptional service to their clients.

Mark Haron

Mark joined Connective in October 2006 following a highly successful stint as CEO of FAST. He brings a wealth of experience and expertise to Connective from an operational and development perspective.

Mark is heavily involved with the MFAA, serving on various committees. He also has strong relationships at the highest level with our lender partners. Mark’s vision for the future of the industry strongly influences the direction that Connective takes in its dealings with broker members and lender partners.

Graham Maloney

Graham joined the Connective board as an independent director and Chairman in July 2011. Graham spent 38 years in the financial services sector working across a broad range of disciplines including superannuation, life insurance, general insurance, commercial banking and investment banking.

Ron Smith, General Manager

Ron came to Connective after an extensive managerial career over many years with large corporates.

His ability to implement systems and procedures ensures the smooth running of the back office and helps provide a seamless interface with our broker and lender partners.

Always involved at the ‘coal face’, Ron understands that everything that Connective does is designed to improve the interaction with our partners, ensuring that Connective is the preferred choice for brokers.

Michael Goerner, Head of Sales and Business Development

With over 30 years of finance industry experience, Michael brings with him a wealth of knowledge across all aspects of mortgage broking and lending. Having worked for top tier lenders, his vast experience and expertise spans operations, sales and project management.

Michael’s ability to build and maintain relationships, along with his extensive knowledge of Australia’s mortgage broking industry, made him the ideal candidate with the right skill set to champion Connective’s white label offering.

Known for his clear communication, no-nonsense ability to get through extraordinary workloads, and endless good cheer, Michael understands how important it is to continue to set the bar higher, and provide our brokers with an alternative to old-style aggregation services.
